KLARTEC produces precast concrete products and equipment supporting the environment. It operates in the environmental field in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
The goal of the project
The main task was to deploy software that would make the company clearer to run and support it — a complete solution under a single system.
They wanted an overview of production and orders, all agendas connected, and data carried from orders into contracts, into production and into everything that follows.

QI met the objective
The QI implementation met the objectives that were set. The company gained clear information about production flows and sales cases. Every request was handled promptly and the company moved smoothly onto the system. We were available to KLARTEC at any time and added extensions based on their requirements.
Connecting the company's information
Since the rollout, QI runs the whole of KLARTEC. Sales data is the basis for the work of the other departments. Everything is set up so that employees create orders easily in the system, and the information from an order is then turned into a contract with a single click — a real advantage and a saving of time. The same applies to delivery notes, invoices and production, where exact product specifications drive each job. Other staff see everything they need in QI to make a particular product, so they can release work to production and plan machine loading. This way the company saves on average 15 % of its time every day compared with the period before QI.
Another benefit is material tracking. The company has the overview and can therefore estimate what material it will need in the future. Without QI that would not be possible.
QI covers the delivery end to end: installation records follow straight on from production. Instead of Excel and paper they now use QI, which makes the operation efficient. Everything sits in one system — job preparation, service, training, transport and certification.
Time saved in transport
QI has also proved itself in transport, which matters a great deal at KLARTEC — several trucks leave every day. Before the system was in place, everything was handled by e-mail. The sales department ordered transport for a particular job, and the work of other staff followed on from that, dispatching goods or preparing incoming material. That approach produced errors and inefficiency. Now everything goes into QI. Information and visibility improved and the errors disappeared, as the managing director confirmed: "The chaos and the communication noise went down, and above all we saved time and cost — specifically 20 % a day in dispatch, 7 % for the sales people and 20 % in production thanks to eliminating unnecessary material movements. But many things cannot be quantified, such as fewer sources of stress." The time saved in transport reaches up to 16 hours a day across the organisation, which is almost €60,000 a year.
Jobs under control
KLARTEC consists of three divisions, each with different staff. Individual sales cases often run across all of them, which used to make jobs hard to follow. Introducing QI solved it. An employee finds any recorded job in the system easily and has all the information needed, such as the subject of the job and the meetings planned. Filtering is a powerful tool that makes it easy to find things even by more complex criteria — something that was not possible before. Communication is efficient, without unnecessary delays.
The system is highly sophisticated and has proved particularly useful for evaluation. We added a report to QI that helps compare the activity of sales people. It also shows costs clearly, because every invoice can be recorded.
